The San Diego office of Lewis Brisbois seeks an organized and detail oriented Legal Secretary with 3 – 5 years’ experience.
Full-time Legal Secretary for a busy desk. Requires strong organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as a thorough knowledge of court rules, including e-filing procedures. We are a paperless firm which requires strong abilities working with a document management system.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail oriented, strong communication skills, work well under pressure, team player. Ability to multi-task, be a problem solver, and have a high comfort level in using a variety of computer software programs. Positive attitude; strong work ethic, self-starter who requires little supervision and has a high level of initiative.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Intermediate skills using MS Office programs, and comfortable with a variety of computer software programs
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to prioritize a busy caseload.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Type minimum of 65 wpm
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school and 3 to 5 years’ experience as a legal secretary. Reduction in level of experience with a legal secretary certificate will be considered.
