Legal Secretary – Patent Prosecution
Jones Day, a major international law firm seeks an experienced Legal Secretary.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
The Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary is responsible for providing assistance to attorneys, patent agents, IP legal interns, and other administrative personnel. Responsibilities include preparing, coordinating, and processing correspondence with clients; assisting with preparation of documents for filing with the USPTO; corresponding with foreign associates; proofing and editing documents per attorney instructions; maintaining patent application files and attorney correspondence files.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; four year college degree preferred.
- Experience with patent prosecution procedures and terminology.
- Five years Intellectual Property Legal Secretary experience working with up to 4-5 attorneys.
- Strong organizational skills.
