On April 9, 2013, The San Diego Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) held its annual Leadership Dinner at The Prado in Balboa Park. Outgoing President Jeff Talcott, PHR, Office  Administrator for Goodwin Procter LLP passed the gavel to Leslie Kaiser, Legal Administrator for The Maxham Firm.  Kaiser, who has been a member of ALA-SD for the past 19 years as both a volunteer and on the Board, will serve as president through March 2014.

The San Diego Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators was chartered in 1973 and will be celebrating its 40th anniversary throughout the year.  The Chapter currently has over 100 active members. The chapter is a dynamic and diverse group of legal administrative professionals representing private, corporate and government entities, ranging in size from solo practitioners to large international firms.

The mission of the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators is to enhance the quality of legal management by providing opportunities for collaborative and relevant education, leadership and professional development, networking  and maintaining our highly valued sense of community.  During this year, Kaiser announced plans that include a diversity event, educational events, and an updated salary survey.  Kaiser also thanked the business partners for their continued support of the ALA.
